Environmental Product Declaration

Multiple TMF collections come with an official Environmental Product Declaration. An EPD document transparently communicates the environmental impact of a product during its whole lifecycle, from the start at raw material sourcing to disposal in the end. We have EPD documents of all our biggest suppliers.

FSC-certified packaging

We implement sustainable choices within our logistics processes, for example with packaging. The majority shipments within the Netherlands are transported on cardboard pallets, sourced from an FSC-certified supplier. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international organisation primarily commited to forest preservation and responsibly forest management.

We also use FSC-certified carboard for filling and protecting shipments.

Transport & partners

To minimize the environmental impact of international shipments, we aim to consolidate shipments wherever possible. This initiative focuses on reducing transport movements and thus emissions.

For us, sustainability is a shared responsibility. That is why we exclusively collaborate with transport partners who actively invest in cleaner logistics and emission transparency.

Recycled product material

Our Valencia collection is made from recycled window glass. This makes the collection a conscious choice that directly contributes to a more sustainable future.

Company cars

TMF has fully transitioned from diesel fueled company cars to company cars with hybrid engines. This marks a significant step in reducing direct emissions from business transport.

Solar panels

At the head office in Nistelrode, TMF installed solar panels on the roof. Together they generate enough solar energy that the yearly electricity usage is cut in half.

Accredited work placement company

The Mosaic Factory is a recognized training company, offering internship opportunities to students across a variety of disciplines. We provide a supportive environment where students can gain valuable hands-on experience and develop their professional skills. We believe in investing in the next generation and are proud to help young talent prepare for their future careers.

Garden maintenance

We believe in supporting initiatives that create a positive impact within our local community. That is why we support and partner with Geenen Gardening for the maintenance of our garden, planters, and flowerbeds at our head office. Geenen Gardening provides meaningful employment and development opportunities for people with mental or psychological disabilities, helping them build skills and participate in the workforce.

Local sponsoring

We believe it’s important to be present in the local community and give back. The Mosaic Factory sponsors the Sinterklaas intocht in Nistelrode, where our head office is located. We also frequently sponsor the local charity week.
