Making an entrance
After months of renovating, coffee bar Frank & Charlie opened its door in the summer of 2021. A bold move, considering Covid was still very much out there. But not as bold as the new interior, with lots of colours and an entrance no guest could overlook: a custom mosaic floor with Frank & Charlie’s logo. We were contacted by Regge Tegels for this project and were of course happy to contribute!
Two types of tiles
We used two types of tiles for this custom floor. Firstly, white hexagon mosaics of our London range. These full body, unglazed porcelain mosaics have a nonslip rating of R11/C and are very suitable for high traffic floors. In addition, we used a black floor tile of Marazzi for the logo. This tile was first sliced into the same thickness as the mosaics and then the logo was sawn out of it with a waterjet.
We supply these bespoke floors on numbered sheets, with a layout scheme and tiling instructions. When it comes down to custom mosaics, nearly anything is possible. We only ask for clear picture or a drawing on scale. Interested? Contact us for more information!
