TMF mosaics in Konijndijk Fashion
For almost a century, Konijnendijk Mode has been a household name in South Holland, known for combining fashion with personal service. The recent renovation and expansion grew the store from 4,000 to 6,000 m². This transformed the location into a contemporary retail destination where experience plays a central role alongside fashion. Within this ambitious redesign, TMF mosaic tiles became an important factor to connect spaces and strengthen the overall identity of the interior.
Working closely with interior designer Larissa Tanka and her team at Store 3D, The Mosaic Factory was involved early in the design process. Each department in the store required its own atmosphere while remaining part of one cohesive experience. Through mood boards, sampling and material exploration, the mosaic tiles were selected not only for their visual qualities but also for their adaptability, allowing shapes and surfaces to become defining elements within the concept.
Multiple different TMF mosaics were ultimately applied across the store in a variety of ways. Support pillars were wrapped in Kitkat Original tiles and glass Amsterdam mosaics. Planters gained texture and color with more Kitkat Original tiles and two curved bar counters became focal points thanks to Kitkat Mini mosaic tiles. Hexagon tiles added refinement to the kitchen backsplash, while practical yet striking London anti-slip mosaics were chosen for the floor. From the kitchen backsplash to hospitality areas, the applications demonstrate how mosaics can move seamlessly between decorative and functional surfaces, contributing to a layered and immersive retail environment. Lovely to see TMF mosaics in Konijndijk Fashion.
