Tiling curved wall with mosaic tiles
Mosaic tiles can be laid on curved surfaces, for example on a reception desk, round bar or supporting pillar meaning a tile curved wall is absolutely possible. It is important to take into account the convexity of the surface and the width of the mosaic tile. The mosaic tiles obviously cannot bend with the surface, only the sheet to which the mosaic tiles are attached.
On a long bar with a very slight angle, wider mosaic tiles can be used than on a narrow pillar. On the narrow pillar, mosaic tiles with a small width are more suitable. Like our Sevilla Kitkat Original mosaics. Whether the mosaic tile you want will fit on the intended curved surface depends on the radius of the mosaic tile.
Mosaic tiles can also be tiled on concave or inward rounded surfaces, for example in a walk-in shower. Keep in mind that there is a maximum curve without the tiles touching each other depending the grout size. The bigger the inward angle, the smaller the maximum curve. There is no maximum curve when the sheet is applied to the front of the mosaics. All mosaics from The Mosaic Factory have a the sheet applied to the back of the mosaic tiles.
