How to cut TMF Valencia mosaic tiles

Due to the material, cutting Valencia mosaic tiles is different than cutting other TMF mosaic tiles. Most of our mosaic tiles are made from porcelain so a standard tile cutter will suffice. Our Valencia mosaics are made from recycled glass meaning a water-cooled diamond saw is required to cut the tiles to the right size.

To cut TMF Valencia mosaic tiles, follow these steps.

1. For the sheet of mosaic tiles, measure which straight sections you want to cut off. Mark these on the tiles, using a pencil or removable marker.
2. Use the water-cooled diamond saw to cut the tiles to the right size. Do this on a solid saw table or surface. Watch the video below for an example.
3. Smooth the edges of the tiles you have cut using a sandpaper or (preferably) diamond grinder.
4. Glue the surface and place the tiles.
